We begin our journey with the crux of Aloreh's political strata. The hard working, dedicated, and honest peoples that make up the Noble Houses of Aloreh. It is through the constant struggle of the nobility that we, their humble servants, may flourish. For, if it were not for the nobles' demand for wine, what might we do with our time if not to pour them another goblet? How might we ever maintain the humble lifestyle we so desperately need if not for the princes reminding us of our place? And how, pray tell, might we display our virtue and humility if not by worshiping the very ground our betters walk on? No, without them, our world would surely crumble! Each house holds tracts of lands which it diligently and consistently maintains - and if you think you might have seen dilapidated housing, overgrown fields, or run down communal spaces? Then your eyes must be deceiving you!
Now, each house must choose the wisest, most generous, most selfless person amongst them to serve dutifully as the house's Orator Prince. This is a role that requires nothing short of saint-like piety from the chosen party. Their dedication to serving the nation must be unrivaled, unfaltering in their quest for total representation. Never would a prince dare to use their influence to garner wealth or status, nor would they engage in back handed deals in clandestine corridors to further their personal agenda - no, when one is chosen to sit on the Orator Court, one is expected to conduct oneself with the highest levels of decorum.
Take for instance Malbari, Prince Sulaurand, for instance - now there was a prince who knew no rival. So glorious was she, so selfless, that rather than attend the meetings of the court, she could instead be found visiting local businesses across Methes Avonthes, conducting a thorough audit on their prosperity. Now, those establishments may well have been ale houses, and her posture may have been somewhat less steady by the end, but surely none could fault her on her dedication towards thorough analysis of business practices! Her "retirement" this month was surely an act of altruism, as she passed the reins of power to the next generation.
And so we have our Noble Houses, and their Orator Princes to sit on the Orator Court, but a body must have a head! Enter our most honorable leader - the High Mediator. As the name may suggest, the role is to mediate (though naturally this position is somewhat arbitrary, given that all our princes are of a single mind and would never stoop so low as to bicker amongst themselves), and to find the solution that best pleases everyone, something which is of course entirely possible and occurs on a regular basis.
This final piece completes our harmonious puzzle. Now isn't this Aloreh summarized - hard working, honest leaders striving together for a better future for us all, in the name of Thesse Beloved.
